Vintage Beni McGuild rug - size 185 x 265 cm

Casa W handpicks all our vintage rugs in Morocco and spends a long time choosing the right ones. All our carpets are unique and with lots of patina and soul - products with a story.

The vintage rugs are handwoven in the middle Atlas Mountains in Morocco - and typically come from the Beni MQuild or Beni Ourain/Mamousha tribes. The rugs are made from 100 percent sheep's wool that is naturally dyed and the beauty of the rugs is the color combination - a palette of muted shades that have faded over time. The rugs are full of beautiful shapes and symbolism. Each individual rug tells its own story, based on a strong tribal tradition and the weaver's story.

It is important to point out that since these rugs are vintage and often more than 50 years old, they will also bear their mark thereafter. There may be small holes or stains.

The rug is 155 x 201 cm without fringes
