This unique vintage rug is a MUST if you have fallen in love with the beautiful handwoven Moroccan Beni Ourain rugs in 100% light wool and want a rug that no one else has. The classic Beni Ourain carpets are characterized by the classic diamond-shaped pattern - and in the Mamousha carpets, a little brown, beige, grey, green and powder-coloured tones are typically added for the 'classic black and white expression.

The vintage carpets are handwoven in the middle Atlas Mountains in Morocco - and typically come from the Beni MQuild or Beni Ourain/Mamousha tribes. The rugs are made from 100 percent sheep's wool that is naturally dyed and the beauty of the rugs is the color combination - a palette of muted shades that have faded over time. The rugs are full of beautiful shapes and symbolism. Each individual rug tells its own story, based on a strong tribal tradition and the weaver's story.

It is important to point out that since these rugs are vintage and often more than 50 years old, they will also bear their mark thereafter. There may be small holes or stains.
