This fantastic rug is handwoven from wool from goats/sheep by local women in the northern part of Afghanistan. The rug is part of the unique collection designed by Rahim Walizada of Chuk Palu.

The size is 93x 300 cm. - without fringes. The color is dark brown with a light, gray and beige pattern. The rug is woven from a wool mix from goat/sheep.

Drawing inspiration from a variety of sources – from ancient calligraphy to textile design, from tribal motifs to geometric patterns, Chuk Palu rugs and cushions are produced in Afghanistan by local weavers who work from home or in small workshops.

Everything is handmade from start to finish - even the yarn is hand spun and the colors are all natural colours. The characteristic feature of the carpets is that the weavers use rough techniques that highlight the quality of the fibers - visible to the eye and pleasant to the touch.
