Beautiful products in walnut wood from Morocco

Skønne produkter i valnøddetræ fra Marokko

High up in the Atlas Mountains south of Marrakech, where the walnut trees grow, the population is used to using the resources they have available. 'Throw away' or 'leftover' are words that are hardly known. The smallest remnant of a giant tree is used to create everyday objects (such as beautiful spoons, bowls or dishes).

The shape of the delicious bowls takes a long time to achieve - often several hours.

After this, it is the women's turn to pack and send the walnut products.

This means that many hands have touched the piece of wood before it ends up in a kitchen somewhere in the world.

If you get the chance, sit down next to a craftsman and watch the process.

Until then, you can watch the process here: https://youtu.be/pv9ShcnEEa4
