Beni Ourain carpet - 174 x 250 cm

The story behind:
Beni Ourain rugs are very popular and also fit in very well with the simple Scandinavian style. At Casa W, we only have original Beni Ourain rugs handmade by women from the Berber tribe of Beni Ourain. The blankets are used by the Berber tribe to cover themselves and lie on when they need to sleep. Each carpet is a work of art and is produced according to the weaver's own wishes. Often the carpets symbolize the feelings the women have when they weave. The diamond shape seen in many of the rugs protects against evil. The color tones are natural in their white, beige, brown and black colors.

Maintenance:
Vacuum the carpet and/or take it outside and shake it. The carpet is 100% pure wool and is naturally covered with lanolin on each fiber, which means that stains do not penetrate into the carpet. If you are unfortunate enough to get a stain on the carpet, it is best to remove it by soaking up the stain with a cloth as soon as possible and then dabbing the stain with a damp cloth. If winter offers snow, the carpet can be laid out in the white snow with advantage. This will thoroughly clean the carpet – completely naturally.
